Another week or so off. Left calf is feeling fine now- hip is still the same old inner bruise. The only positive side is that it no longer hurts when I sneeze. Way too hot to run today- plus it's my first run in a while so I had to take it easy anyway.

I had a great time with my family this weekend, my parents and my two younger cousins. As per usual there was no running as we were busy and to me it's just impolite to go run when you have someone staying at your house. Perhaps if they were staying longer I would have, but they were only here for a couple days and taking an hour of that just seems selfish. We had a lot of fun though, I'm missing them already.

Might try to get a short run in tonight and test the calf. It will depend on how much we have to do before my parents visit. They will be in town for the weekend.

Calf is still hurting. I thought I was good to go for the first mile of this run- no pain whatsoever. Then slowly but surely it built up and by the end of mile 2 I was in pain again. Just ran 3 and called it a day. Took an ice bath. Hopefully icing it will help, but I'm not sure. Worst case is that it is a stress fracture, but I don't know it seems to close to the muscles for that, the pain is inbetween the Tibia and the calf (the front side where the calf and bone meet). Will keep doing what I can, but I may end up in the pool the rest of the summer.
